Handboards

The handboard is by no means new to the market, but has by all means trundled back on to the scene in a frenzy of demand from the general public. Our range of handboards is small yet popular. Keeping our cards close to our chests we’ve given room only to two brands, those of which being Pod Handboards and Stealth Handboards. The Pod handboard is a masterpiece created using solid polypropylene, making it one of the most lightweight, durable and buoyant options on the market. The handle might be strapped in, but is done so in the natural swimming position directly above the handboard pivot point and keel fin. The hand strap itself is actually double padded neoprene and allows the user maximum comfort with a under palm deck grip. Atop of it all, the Pod Handboard incorporates a concave bottom with a keel fin to ensure rapid elevation and increase the handboards performance in all conditions of waves.
Now, our Stealth Plugga by comparison is a mild drop down in quality, but still by all means a force to be reckoned with. The foam used on the inside is a Fusion EPS core, meaning it’s a compressed waterproof foam. Atop of this foam is a Polyethylene deck skin, meaning, even though the core of the handboard is of a foam composite, it won’t compress easily because the Polyethylene will maintain its shape and resist compression. The mesh infused HD slick works against creasing whilst the crescent tail directs waterflow and maximises control. Finally, the Velcro hand strap might appear somewhat basic upon appearance but is by all means a top wrung piece of manufacturing. All in all, the Stealth Plugga handboard has risen its way to the top in recent times via it’s minimal price and minimal sacrifice in quality. This is the ultimate for expert and entry level body surfers.
