ISS(Interchangeable Stringer System)
An insert which allows the user to change their stringer and therefore flex dependant on circumstance. All ISS bodyboards come with a base flex stringer. ISS stringers are sold separately.
EXT Stringer
Pultruded plastic and carbon composite rod offering rigidity and durability.
PRS Stringer
Tapered carbon fibre stringer which is wider and stiffer at the tail of the bodyboard then narrower and more flexible at the nose of the bodyboard. Designed to maximise projection.

Staggered Stringers
Staggered stringers are smaller than central stringers and work to reinforce the bodyboard and its core.
60/40 Rails
This rail setup allows more of your board to connect with the water and offers the rider more control in heavier and bigger waves.
55/45 Rails
This rail setup leaves less of your rail in the water and offers the rider less contact with the water and therefore better drive and speed throughout all conditions.
50/50 Rails
This rail setup offers the best of both worlds. A good amount of upper rail in the water allows increased drive, whilst a good amount of lower rail promotes control.
Vax Trax Rails
Vax Trax is a Stealth initiative. These rails have a small inlet in the rail at the tail end of the board. The idea is to redirect waterflow in order to maintain control over the rail of your bodyboard.
Graduated Channels
Graduated channels are a slow rise channel which redirect waterflow to create lift and allow the rider a better grip on the wave.
Slotted Channels
Slotted channels are a slender and deeper channel design with less graduation. These channels offer optimum control in bigger and heavier waves.
No Channels
No concave means no resistance and no resistance means more speed. No concave can however make things slightly harder to control and means you will have to rely on your bottom turning that little bit more.
Quad Concave
The quad concave tracks and expels water through four concaves in order to maximise speed. Trimming, bottom turning or driving, the quad concave aims to draw water and promote powerful lines.
Trinity Concave
The trinity concave tracks and expels water through four concaves in order to maximise speed. Each concave uses a wide entry and exit point in order to increase water flow and maximise speed, power and control.
Single to Double Concave
The single to double concave tracks water early with a high single concave that flushes out into a quad concave bottom. Catching the water early and redirecting out to the final four concaves maximises the riders power and speed.
QuadExhaust Channels
The quad exhaust uses two outer channels in the space of one. The two outer channels redirect water flow in order to maximise speed in the power pockets of the wave. The central raised area allows the user to maximise drive.
Double Concave
The double concave bodyboard has a small raised line through the middle the bodyboard toward the tail end which pushes water away from the centre of the board and allows the rider a level of control. The double concave is almost a flat bottom and is popular for Drop Knee riders as for its loose characteristics.
QuadVent Channels
The quad vent uses two outer channels in the space of one. The two outer channels redirect water flow in order to maximise speed in the power pockets of the wave. The central raised area allows the user to maximise drive.
Slot Hull
The Slot Hull is a Stealth initiative which emphasises planing. The large single hull concave allows the rider to move across the wave with less traction and create higher levels of down the line speed.
Mesh
Mesh is a diamond shaped wire like plastic that runs under the slick of a bodyboard. Mesh creates a durable reinforcement between the bodyboards slick and the core making it stiffer, stronger and less likely to crease.
HDPE Slick
HDPE is a high density plastic. This plastic is hard wearing and very stiff. Whilst it will perform as per the norm, it is more prone to creasing when under heavy stress as for its high density properties.
DuPont Surlyn Slick
Surlyn plastic is thin and durable making it the most popular top end slick. Surlyn plastic will bend and stretch before it creases or snaps. This is a must have for intermediate through to advanced riders.
Wavecushion 8lb NXLPE(Indo) Decking
Wavecushion decking is a 8lb decking foam. Much like the PE core, the PE decking is soft and flexible. Unlike the PE core, PE decking is used on all top end boards as for the flex and softness which allows riders to create a foam memory. Despite being soft and flexible PE is still extraordinarily durable.
Cellu-Cushion 8lb PE(Taiwan) Decking
Cellu-Cushion is a 8lb decking foam. It offers strength and ensures you get a longer lasting board. The design allows your body to lock with your board when riding, ensuring the board is comfortable to ride and hold.
Skintec Underlay
Skintec is a second layer of decking made of polypropylene fused with mesh. This deck type softens any big impacts your board might take and is used to maximise your bodyboards durability.
Tension Tech Underlay
Tension tech is a second layer of decking made of polypropylene fused with mesh. This deck type softens any big impacts your board might take and is used to maximise your bodyboards durability.
IXLPECrosslink Decking
IXLPE is physically crosslinked polyethylene foam and is a very smooth skin decking. Soft in appearance and feeling.
Full Crescent Tail
The full crescent tail is the most control oriented bodyboard tail. This tail will perform when turning and carving. Using the full length of the crescent allows maximum mobility and water flow.
Clipped Crescent Tail
The clipped crescent tail is the most popular crescent tail option. This tail will perform when driving, turning, carving and releasing. Clipping the tail allows the rider to maximise their drive and maintain control through the outer concaves and clipped areas.
Bat Tail
Bat tail bodyboards are less curved in their profile, have a much wider finish and employ a‘W’ looking tail. The overall idea of this concept is to provide more surface area to land on, more release through the tail shape and more speed through the emphasised hull. These tails can be a lot harder to control however, as for the limited hull area.
Two-Piece Tail
The tail piece is a separate piece of decking that goes on the crescent tail. Done for aesthetic purposes only and as oppose to rolling the deck all the way down over the tail.
Wifly Tail
The Wifly tail uses a smaller release point in order to maximise speed as well as release. Cutting the tail in allows the rider to release the tail easier, whilst the V inlet increases water flow and therefore speed. These boards should be ridden a 0.5” bigger than what you would normally ride.
V-Tail
The V Tail catches water on a sharper angle and maximises rider control and stability. The V Tail performs exceptionally well when bottom turning and carving.
Tri-Crescent
The tri-crescent is a clipped crescent tail with small complimenting compressions were the tri-quad meets the tri-crescent. The tri-crescent works to further engage the tri-quad and maximise speed and control.
Delta Bat
The delta bat tail bodyboards are less curved in their profile, have a much wider finish and employ a‘W’ looking tail. The overall idea of this concept is to provide more surface area to land on, more release through the tail shape and more speed through the emphasised hull. These tails can be a lot harder to control however, as for the limited hull area. The delta bat specifically is much sharper in its bat tail appearance.
Chisel Tail
The Chisel Tail allows the rider more grip to the wave through its straight profile. This cut emphasises the tails grab and works to hold the rider in place in waves of consequence.
CNC Shaping
Short for“computer numerical control”, CNC machines allow shapers to cut boards perfectly to the mm. CNC machines offer the sharpest possible finish to bodyboard manufacturing.
Nose Bulbs
Nose bulbs are a slightly raised area of foam on the nose of the board which create a comfortable spot to grip the nose.
Contours
The contours are the slight indents in the deck of a bodyboard. Their job is to help you lock in to the board as best as possible.
XFL Armour
XFL armour are additional layers of crosslink foams normally attached to the nose or tail of your bodyboard in order to increase its strength.
Nose & Tail Buffers
Nose andTail Buffers are additional layers of crosslink foams attached under the decking of your bodyboard in order to increase its strength.
