Choosing a beginner bodyboard hasn’t always been as easy as what it appeared. Here at Inverted however, with our extensive information and range of beginner levelled bodyboards, bodyboarding for beginners has never been as comprehensive and easy.
Generally, your beginner levelled bodyboards will come with an EPS listed core. The EPS foam is Extruded Polystyrene and is a much more compressed foam as oppose to anything one might get from Kmart or the Chemist. The idea behind this compressed foam is to---- strengthen the centre of the board and stop early creasing through the centre of the board caused by the rider’s elbows.
The next foam of which you’re likely to come across in this category of boards is a PE foam. This PE foam is a Polyethylene foam, a slightly heavier variation by comparison to that of the previously mentioned EPS. The difference between the two foams revolves largely around their strength and foam memory. Being of a higher density of compression, the PE foam will be significantly more durable. This aspect of the foam will allow the rider better performance and durability in slightly bigger and heavier conditions to that of which the EPS core can handle.
Whilst beginner bodyboards might be limited in terms of cores, they’re most certainly not limited in terms of branding and colours. Checkout our extensive range of beginner bodyboards below, with all the best from NMD, VS, Pride, Science, Nomad, Stealth, Hardy, Funkshen, Custom X and Drag.
